English Goals Split edition

English Goals SPLIT is an innovative English language course for lower secondary school students in three levels.
The syllabus aims to develop language skills and knowledge as defined by the Council of Europe in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), taking students to A2 level of competences over the course of four years.
English Goals SPLIT has a communicative and a fully inclusive approach to language teaching and is designed specifically to motivate and engage students. Stimulating texts and activities help develop life skills such as critical thinking, creative thinking and effective communication.

• Wide variety of texts aimed at introducing global issues and topics from the English-Speaking World.
• Vocabulary videos to allow students to see the new words in a communicative context, helping them with comprehension and memorisation.
• Communication videos to engage students and encourage them to practise oral communication.
• Simple Goals: a fully inclusive section at the end of the units which highlights the key elements of each unit and ensures that all students can use the same book in class.
• Life-Skills tasks to encourage critical and creative thinking and to practise effective communication.
• Mediation tasks to develop mediation competences, as required in the latest update to the CEFR (levels 3).
• 2030 Agenda lessons to get to know some of the 17 Goals of Sustainable Development (levels 3).
• Attention to D.E. I. (diversity, equality, inclusion) with appropriate content and choice of activities.
• STEM education through engaging and fun activities which develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
