Lord Arthur Savile’s Crime is set in the Victorian period and tells the story of a young man called Lord Arthur.

Lord Arthur comes from a rich family. He’s happy and in love with Sybil. At a party, a cheiromantist ‘reads’ the lines on his hand. He tells Lord Arthur that he will do something very bad in the future. Lord Arthur is very worried. He doesn’t want Sybil to become his wife until after the ‘crime’. He makes a plan, but his plan doesn’t go well. Many funny and strange things happen.
