The Story Garden - British English

The Story Garden is a new English language course for primary schools aimed at students aged 6 to 11 and is available in both British and American English. 
This course takes a unique approach to language learning through the Heart and Mind Approach, a methodology that harmonizes cognitive and emotional development, recognizing that the integration of thoughts and emotions is essential to a child’s ability to absorb and retain new language skills.
By creating a positive, emotionally engaging learning environment, students not only learn English more effectively but also develop a deeper emotional connection to the language. The Story Garden consists of 6 volumes.

• Language Acquisition: through engaging, age-appropriate content, helping young learners develop foundational language skills.
• Comprehensive Unit Structure: the course has 6 units and begins with the presentation of target vocabulary, followed by a rich array of activities, including songs, games, comic stories, language games, CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning), and civilization topics. From Level 3 onwards, useful grammar tables are also included.
• Phonological Awareness: includes specific activities focused on phonetics and pronunciation, helping students develop a strong foundation in English phonology, essential for reading and speaking skills.
  
• Formative Assessment: including self-assessment cards and Cambridge YLE exam preparation, provide ongoing feedback, helping teachers tailor instruction to meet the needs of each student.
• Differentiated Instruction: with inclusive education in mind, providing simplified activities and support for students with Specific Learning Disabilities (DSA) and Special Educational Needs (SEN), ensuring all students can progress confidently.
• Educational Technology Integration: interactive digital book and the ELi LINK App enhance the learning experience by offering interactive, multimedia content that supports both classroom learning and independent study.
  
• Teacher’s Book Resources: provides step-by-step guidance and teaching ideas for each page of the course. It includes self-assessment cards, transcriptions of audio and video materials, and insights on language and culture and a photocopiable Tests & Resources volume to help teachers deliver effective and engaging lessons.
• Learning by Doing: a unique Lapbook (for levels 1 to 5) included in the Student’s pack, designed to revise, consolidate, and support an inclusive learning approach.
